In 1881 they lived in Lewisham and Ellen’s mother, Agnes, was living or staying with them.
In 1883 they were living at 67 Stoney Lane, Catford.
In 1901 Ellen and Harry, or Henry as he was named on the census, were living at 45 Endymion Road, Hornsey with their family.
6 Henry KENNETT (1828-1861) [9459]. Born 1828, Faversham, Kent. Christened 6 Feb 1828. Marr Agnes Jane BROWNING 13 Jan 1853, Newington, Kent. Died 16 Aug 1861, Long Ditton, Esher, Surrey. Cause: Nervous fever.
The death cert. for his youngest daughter, Annie Caroline mentions that her deceased father was a ‘Secretary in Royal Naval & Military Office’.
Henry gave his address as Beresford St. and Agnes said she lived at St. Peter, Cornhill.
In 1859 Henry and Agnes lived at 13 Waterloo Place, which is off the Pall Mall end of the Haymarket, London.
In 1861 the family were living at Riverside Cottages, Long Ditton, Esher. They had two servants in the house.
He left under £600 according to the letters of administration.

Gilbert was a Post Boy, working from The Ship Inn, Faversham from the birth of his son John in 1815 till somewhere between 1825 and 1828, when he became an ostler.
Gilbert and Ann ran the White Horse Pub in West Street, Faversham from 1832-34 according to Piggotts National and Commercial Directory but they could have been in residence there for longer than that.
Gilbert became the landlord of the Golden Lion Pub in the High Street at Gillingham, Kent in 1838 till his retirement sometime after 1851.
On the 1851 census Gilbert William was a licensed victualler aged 59, his wife Sarah was 57 years old. They were living at 54 High St. Gillingham, with them was Dinah Wood, Gilbert’s step daughter.

It is possible that John received between 2 shillings and 6 pence and 5 shillings from the parish for some years between 1780 and 1794.

In 1881 Agnes was on the census as a widow living or staying with her younger daughter and family at 67 Stoney Lane, Lewisham, Kent.
In 1901 she was listed as a visitor at a house, 27 Aberdeen Park, Islington in the St. Saviour area.
